 Important Points to be Noted regarding RRB ALP Syllabus & Exam Pattern

1. For the post of RRB Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP), Exam will be conducted in three stages. First Stage Computer Based Test, Second Stage Computer-Based and Computer-Based Aptitude Test.
2. For the post of RRB Railway Technician, Exam will be conducted in 2 stages. First Stage CBT and Second Stage CBT. There will be no Aptitude test for RRB Technician.
3. First Stage CBT will be conducted for 1 Hour, total 75 questions will be asked.
4. First Stage CBT will be conducted only for shortlisting the candidates for Second stage CBT.
5. Marks of First Stage CBT will not be included in the final merit list of RRB ALP.
6. Second Stage CBT will be conducted in two parts, Part A and Part B.
7. Both Part A and Part B will be conducted on the same day.
8. Marks of Second Stage CBT – Part A will be added in the merit list of RRB railway ALP & Technician.
9. Second Stage CBT – Part A will be conducted for 90 minutes, total 100 questions will be asked.
10. Second Stage CBT – Part B is qualifying in nature.
11. Second Stage CBT – Part B will be conducted for 60 minutes, total 75 questions will be asked.
12. Qualifying marks for Second Stage CBT are 35%.
13. In case of RRB Locopilot, Only those candidates who qualify Second Stage CBT will be eligible for Aptitude test.
14. In case of RRB Technician, only those candidates who qualify the second stage CBT will be eligible for documentation & medical test.
15. In case of RRB ALP, candidates need to secure minimum 42 marks in each of the test batteries to qualify.
16. There is a negative marking of one-third of marks of each question in first stage CBT and second stage CBT.
17. There is no negative marking in Aptitude test which is applicable only for RRB railway Assistant Loco Pilot.
18. In case of Assistant Loco Pilot, 70% weightage will be given to the marks obtained in Part A of second stage CBT while 30% weightage will be given to the marks obtained in Aptitude Test which is computer based.
19. In case of RRB ALP, There will be documentation and medical test after stage 1, stage 2 and Aptitude test.
